My workspace overview
What you can do for yourself in My Portal (leave, expenses, loans and your appraisal) and what HR must set up first.
Before you start
- Set up employees and supervisorsHR adds your employee record with the email you sign in with, and names your supervisor. Without it you can't use My Portal.
In this article
My Portal is your own corner of WbizManager. In the menu on the left, select My Portal. From there you apply for leave, claim expenses, ask for a loan and complete your appraisal, and you follow each request until it's decided.
Your requests go to your supervisor (line manager) first, then to HR or finance. HR sets who your supervisor is.
What you can do
| Area | Do it | Who decides | Set up by HR in |
|---|---|---|---|
| Leave | Apply for leave, Track your leave, Cover for a colleague | Your supervisor, then HR | Set up leave |
| Expenses | Claim an expense, Request an expense advance, Retire an expense advance, Track your expenses | Your line manager, then finance | Set up expenses |
| Loans | Apply for a loan | See the loan guide | Set up loans |
| Performance | Complete your appraisal | Your line manager, then HR | Set up performance |
Before you start
- Your account must be linked to your employee record. WbizManager finds your record by your email. If a screen says "Your account isn't linked to an employee profile", ask HR to check the email on your record: Set up employees and supervisors.
- Your supervisor must be set. It's the Reporting To person on your record. If your requests go to the wrong person, ask HR to change it.
- Your branch decides your public holidays. They are left out of your leave days. HR keeps them in Set up HR settings.
Following your requests
My Portal › My Requests lists every leave, expense, loan and complaint you've submitted in one place. Each area also has its own page with more detail, linked above. You get a notification and an email when a request is finally approved or rejected.
If you also manage a team, see Managers overview.
