The Eligibility Check tells you who is due for an appraisal on a given date, and which kind. Use it before you assign the template, so you don't appraise someone too early or twice in a short time. It is a check only: assigning a template doesn't run it, so it's up to you to act on the result.

Steps

  1. Open HR › Performance › Eligibility Check

In the menu on the left, select HR, then Performance, then Eligibility Check.

    1. Single employee checks one person; Bulk by department checks everyone in a department (or all departments).
    2. Employee: the person to check.
    3. Cycle date: the date the appraisal would start. Use the cycle's start date.
    4. Check eligibility (or Check department in bulk mode) shows the result.
  2. Read the result

Each result says eligible or not eligible, with the reason. In bulk mode you also see "N eligible of M". The rules are:

What employees and managers see

Nothing: the check is for HR only. Employees see an appraisal only when you assign one. See Launch an appraisal cycle.
